- Does Lizzergy tell me what my child can eat?
- No. It tells you what it found on the label for each person. You and your doctor make the call. The best result it gives is "No listed allergens found."
- Which allergens are covered?
- The nine major food allergens under US law (milk, egg, fish, crustacean shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soybeans, and sesame), individual tree nuts, and others such as coconut, mustard, and molluscan shellfish. You can also add your own terms.
- Why does it ask for a photo when the barcode was found?
- Product databases lag behind recipe changes. The label in your hand is the evidence, so we judge from it and show you when the two disagree.
- Why is meat, poultry, or egg product sometimes marked caution?
- Those products are regulated by the USDA, whose allergen labeling rules differ from the FDA rules most packaged food follows. We treat them more cautiously.
- Who can see a profile I share?
- Only the people you share with, for as long as you allow. You can revoke a share at any time, and a revoked link stops working on the next request. Shared links show the name, allergens, levels, and emergency note. They never show a birth date or scan history.
- Who controls a child’s profile?
- The parent who created it, until the person turns 18. Then they can take over their own profile, and the parent keeps access only if the adult allows it.
- Does it work offline?
- Yes. The phone runs the same rules on its own and labels the result "offline check." When you are back online the scan is sent and the server result replaces it.
- Is my data sold or shared?
- No. We run our own servers and do not use third-party trackers. See the privacy policy for details.
